Meet Celebrate Art Co-Owners Dawn Richardson and Stef Beauchene

Dawn began her painting career over 20 years ago. She specializes in colorful abstracts and landscapes, and is constantly working to improve her pieces.

Stef began painting with Dawn over 15 years ago when Dawn’s first words of advice were, “ just cover the whole canvas with paint!” Well, she’s been doing that ever since and loving every minute of it! Her primary medium is oil, but she continues to dabble in acrylic painting and often uses acrylic for the underpainting to her pieces. She finds that having a strong color base brings out the vibrancy of the oil paint placed on top. Bold colors have always drawn her in, and she loves a happy, playful piece of art! She pours a lot of emotion into her work, all with the intent of bringing joy to the world. The ability of art to elicit strong emotions in people has always fascinated her and it is always her desire to elicit positive emotions with her work. Ultimately, she wants people to feel happy when they look at her artwork. Stef paints with a lot of color because she finds that color brings happiness and lightens the space that it occupies. You’ll find a variety of subjects in her work to include florals, landscapes, still life and animals that are often quite whimsical!
